Sports Massage

Sports massage is designed to optimise the performance of athletes and to prevent and treat sports injuries.  The aim is to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma.  Sports massage can be used pre-event, post event, during training, or for rehabilitation. 

During a sports massage I will use a variety of techniques including general massage to stimulate circulation of blood and lymph fluids, deep tissue massage to break down adhesions in the muscle and stretching techniques to improve your range of motion. 

You do not have to be an athlete to benefit from a sports massage. It can also help relieve the many day to day problems we all experience, for example, tension and fatigue.
